= an amazing photography opportunity!
So my family was driving through the country the other day and saw this field full of vivid purple flowers ...
Hmmm. My photographer brain started working over time ... I made hubby turn the car around so I could go back and see the field again. Yup, with the second view, I loved it even more. Wouldn't this be a beautiful place for photos, I said? Uh-huh. Hubby agreed. We pulled into the driveway of the assumed-land-owner ... and despite the fact that we were coming home from the beach - all sandy and looking like we had just spent five hours in the sun and sand and water (ie. very messy hair, not professional looking AT all!), I knocked on the door of the country home. THe owner answered. I introduced myself and sheepishly asked them if they would mind if I used their field the next night for a session I had planned ... they agreed ... smiled and said "no problem" ... then I grimaced and said, "Oh ... and is it okay that I also bring a bed into your field?"
The owner must have thought I was ... well, you know ... um, perhaps, CRAZY?
Hah! Well, with a little smile and a little promise that I wasn't doing anything super funky on their property (oh my!), they agreed.
Phew.
Darling hubby was assigned the chore (God bless him!) of delivering the bed for me so I could do the shoot the next day.
So there was the bed (my mother-in-law's great grandma's bed, nonetheless) ... in a field ... but looking all too lovely. Add in a gorgeous pregnant mother and her *adorable* family and you get pure photography joy.
Thank you, S&C, for being flexible and going with me on this idea! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!
She just glowed! Can you believe this is her third baby? She looks FAB!
The baby - for now ...
...big sister, even though she too is still so little herself ... and yet such a bright little thing! She was a lot of fun!
... with her hubby...
... looking all too amazing ...
S, enjoy these last few weeks of your pregnancy ... soon you will be holding your wee, precious baby in your arms and smelling your baby's sweet smell of newness ...
AMAZING!

Gillian was standing on my shoulders when she took that last one.

Thanks, all, for the lovely comments ...
Tanya, I used my 50 mm 1.4 lens for most of the shots, but a wideangle lens for the 'high' shot ...
Chris, how are your shoulders?! ;)
