    And the winner is ....

I'm almost through editing the last of my fall sessions - fall comes and goes so quickly, doesn't it? In a way, it's sad, but I also love to embrace the NEXT season of Christmas! I can hardly wait for November 1st when I am offically 'allowed' to put up the Christmas decorations in my house. Yeah! I think we're hanging up Christmas lights on the house today though. Yahoo!

Okay, as promised, I'm announcing the winner of the beautiful, muscle-relaxing massage, a gift certificate with Annette Vinke, R.M.T., of Orangeville today - and the winner is .............

Cammie, e-mail me and we'll get the gift certificate to you right away. Trust me - you will enjoy every moment of your massage! :D

And now for some photos ...

Today is Halloween and while I don't really officially celebrate the holiday (I have some issues with all the evil connected to this day), I can't pass up a darling cute baby in costume!

    Have a safe day everyone!

Wow, I love it all, I love looking at all the gallery pictures, i wish i could leave comments on each one! Great websit.

I was just trying out something different for one of my images ... it's called blending ...

I think it works well with the fall pictures - what do you guys think? It has an old fashioned feel to it and I'm sure it won't work with every image but I liked it on this particular photo.

Things have been super duper busy lately - between wrapping up the fall sessions (last one is today) and getting the Santa sessions rolling, I've been quite busy! All Christmas orders must be placed by the first week of November, so I will be dedicating November to placing and processing orders, which actually takes more time than the proofing and shooting! The Santa sessions have been going well - they are so much fun and everyone is loving Kris Kringle - he's been very patient with the kids and is working so well with taking time to get the children comfortable. And another bonus - no lineups! I'm sure everyone appreciates that aspect!
And every child gets to go leave with their own gingerbread cookie, homemade by Santa's wife herself.

    How sweet is that?! ;)

And did you notice my new header up there? That means we're getting closer to publishing my new website!!! Yahooo!

I luv this little guy. I first took his photo last year as a six month old sweetie ... and now he's running around like a firecracker! He was so fun to photograph - kept me on my toes!

Today, believe it or not, I'm decorating my living room (I'm going for a classic portrait, not the traditional studio setup, so that's why it's not in the studio) for Santa! Wahoo! Yes - Santa sessions are this week! It's going to be so much fun! I'll be sure to post some pictures ...

I believe there are only 63 days left till Christmas!

    correction: 62 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And Gigi Photography is officially ready for Christmas - along with Daisy!

What's up with this gorgeous weather? I'm lovin' it! I shot a session today that was otherwise post poned due to wet, cold, rainy weather so I'm thanking God for smiling down on us today!

Also - sooo excited! I got my new studio sign today! Craig Lush of Letter Rip in Orangeville (sorry, no website) made it ... and I must say - he did a FANTASTIC job. I looooove it! Thank you, Craig! It was worth the wait!

annnnnd ... I got my Christmas ornaments ($22 each, includes image) in today - just in time for my Santa sessions this Wednesday-Thursday (I know, it seems early but it's not really when you look at the calendar!).

Aren't they sweet? They are made by an Ontario artist - love her designs ...

Off to do some proofing ...

Umm, and who takes 700 pictures at Disney World??!? Yeah, that would be me. They've been uploading all day.
    Good grief.

    Magical moments.

We are back!!! And wow - what a WONDERFUL, truly magical vacation! We had a BLAST! Although I don't think I've ever walked that much in one week in my entire life! Crazy. It was such a fabulous getaway - with magical moments and adventures and wonderful events around every corner!

Here's a quick picture of my oldest daughter, sitting with her cousin,  waiting to see the princesses (which truly was the highlight of our trip!):

I have a lot of catching up to do but just wanted to add this quote from Walt Disney himself. I think it says a lot, especially considering his own job ...

"A man should never neglect his family for business."

    Hi Gillian

You are certainly raising two little royal girl's! I'm glad you had a "Blast" you deserve it!

    Leaving ... on a jet plane ...

".. don't know when I'll be back again" .... hah! Yeah ... nope. All of my lovely clients who are waiting to see their proofs online - you only have to wait a week. I'll be back in a week! ;)

But I want this week to drrrrraaaaaaagggggg out - after all, I'm going to Disney World with my little girls, hubby, mom, dad, sis, brother, niece and nephew - this is going to be so much fun!

But as PROMISED, I had to leave a few of my clients with a sneak peak of their sessions from this week.

Here you go! One for Shelley ...

    and one for Amy ...

I'm off to bed ... the doc told me I've actually lost weight this past month instead of gaining (pregnancy wise) and I swear, it's from running around during my sessions (which I love to do, don't get me wrong!) and staying up late and proofing ... so I'm going to bed to get some rest. See you all in one week!

    Something about sisters.

I love sessions that involve siblings ... it's so fun to see them interact and laugh and have fun together in a natural way. Sadly, I had to cancel/rebook a few sibling sessions this week due to the weather (baby, it's cold outside!!!) ... I'm so sorry to have to do that. I am nervous that when I get back from my trip, the weather will be even colder and therefore, sessions will either be cancelled or shot in the studio - and at this time of year, I really enjoy shooting siblings outside. Hmmm. Tough call.

Just wanted to share a few pictures from this particular session - I have been photographing these little ladies since the younger sister was a baby! It's been *AMAZING* to see them grow and change - and how tall they are getting! Wow! They take after Grandpa! ;)

Here's Lauren - an absolute sweetie.

How could you not love a head of hair as cute as that?!?! :)

and Lauren with her older sister, Emily ... such lovely sisters!

I'm stressing out a wee bit before this big trip I'm taking - trying to get all the galleries uploaded. Things aren't working out as smoothly as I hoped with the website design so some of you may see your galleries through my "under construction" online proofing program .. *sigh* ... I hope it all works out before I take off, but it doesn't look that great from where I stand right now.

In any case, at least you will all be able to view your galleries again - it's been a long two weeks, eh? ;)
