I have heard somewhere that you should hug your child 10 times a day.
Sounds like a good idea to me! I know, as the mother of a 2.5 year old, that sometimes the day just goes by too fast and you don't get the chance to give 10 hugs. Maybe we should make more of a point to give those 10 hugs every day - especially for no reason!

I can tell these kids get 10 hugs a day ... I loved shooting this family. I just uploaded their online gallery tonight so they are just seeing these pictures. I hope you like them, guys!

I love this picture of their daughter hugging daddy ... nothing like a little girl and her daddy.

And I had to add this image! Hah! Nothing like trying to get a three year old and a one year old to snuggle! ;) Well, we tried at least!!!

And here is one recipient of my 10-hugs-a-day-theory! She sure keeps me busy. :) This photo was taken during our regular morning-snuggle-in-mommy's-bed-time (in other words, I have a hard time getting out of bed when she's bright eyed and raring to go!).

Okay ... .Gigi Photography is *officially* booked until January 2007.

I have been a softie and have been squeezing people in every now and then but as of last Friday, that was the last booking. I am currently taking bookings for January 2007, if you are interested, or you can put your name on a waiting list for this season (although sessions are rarely cancelled this close to Christmas). Thank you ALL for your wonderful support of Gigi Photography! All of my clients have been wonderful to work with!!

Just about to start shooting a session, but wanted to share this picture. I love these guys - they are so full of energy and were fabulous to work with! They have a band that they are working on - their pictures will help with marketing and such. So, if you hear of Remote Contol, you can now say you've "seen those guys!"

Ohhhhh ..... too cute .... little girls with curls! I've always wanted curly hair - especially as a young girl! Today's client had the cutest curly hair. She was super well behaved in the studio - such a sweetie pie! She had such a gentle spirit about her. ... and her *very* cute baby brother was such a good little model for me. Proof_2_10 They both made my job easy! ;)

Okay I am on maternity leave so I have alot of time on my hands during nap times, lol.

But these 2 are cutie pies for sure, I love the little boy's eyes, she is beautiful.

I need to get off your blog and do something productive my feet are sticking to the kitchen floor is an indication that there's alot more I could and should be doing.

    Close to my heart.

I had a local baby store ask to use some of my photos for an ad they will be running for Christmas. So, while I was in the Christmas "spirit," I decided to take a few of my own baby, who has just turned three months old. Many photographers dread this age because the baby cannot sit up or interact too well yet, but I find this age *beautiful!* - especially when it's my OWN baby!!

Here's Lyla ... bright eyed and ready for her first Christmas (which, as we all know, will be in the blink of an eye!)

    And another beautiful client ...

She's so cute Gillian, did you get that hat at my work? LOL. She looks like Daddy that is for sure.

    Love Jeanne

Today's session was so much fun! I forgot how refreshing it is to shoot adults - lol! They LISTEN! ;) Claire's session went so well today, despite the threat of rain in the sky. She was so easy to work with and was a natural in front of the camera, despite being a wee bit nervous at the beginning.
Many thanks to my assistant, Beth, who helped me throughout this session!

From squishy newborn to adorable toddler.

    Where *does* the time go?

I've heard that the older you get, the faster time flies. Well, I must be getting REEEALLLY old because I remember Mitchell's newborn photo session like it was yesterday - and yet, here he is - already celebrated his first birthday and now running and playing and happily enjoying being a toddler! Wow!

Here's the little cutie just days old when I had the pleasure of doing his newborn photos.

    and him today:

We had a great session today - I think this is the last for the outdoor fall pictures. Today is a chilly 5 degrees! Brrr! Soon, I'm sure there will be snow! I do have some clients who are brave enough to try outdoor pictures in November so we're going to roll with it! Keep checking the blog for those snowy, Christmas pictures! I'm sure they will be here soon enough.

I've been shooting a lot of families for the past two months. This is certainly "family picture" season! Still loving those newborns though! Can't wait for some of the maternity shoots I have scheduled coming up soon .... nothing like a fresh newborn babe.

Little mitchy poo looks so cute, it's his newborns that convinced us to get Carson's done too.

    Looks awesome!

    A boy and his horse.

Okay, so it's not a real horse.

But this little guy loved it all the same! I had a great session late yesterday with little Liam. He was such a charmer - he'd stop and pause and give me dramatic expressions and then run off with his faithful dog, Kanobe, in search of bugs. Gotta love the boys, eh?

I'm surprised the leaves are still hanging on so late in the season! I have my last fall session booked for today. We're cutting it pretty close, if you ask me!

What a wonderful picture the little boy looks so happy, great colours and I love the stand of trees. Where is this location?

    A mother's love.

I am behind on my proofing and for that I apologize to my clients. September was a VERY busy month for Gigi Photography! And that means it is taking a little bit longer for my clients to see their proofs because I have so many sessions to proof and edit.  I'm sorry, guys! Your galleries will be uploaded soon!

For one client, here's a sneak peak - yet again - of their session. We had a great time ... loved their little guy ... I should be done proofing your session soon. Thanks so much for your patience. :)

And this weekend, I had the ABSOLUTE pleasure of photographing a special family - the Boones. I have known them for a VERY long time and actually used to babysit their girls and even teach them piano lessons! They are a beautiful family - inside and out. They were so easy to photography - so naturally happy.

We drove and drove trying to find a location with some leaves left for the outdoor pictures. Sadly, fall is quickly coming to an end and the leaves are blowing away and fading fast.

    A mother, a daughter - a special bond.

I have a special thing for mothers and daughters- maybe it's because I have two daughters of my own that I see how wonderful and precious it is to have a little girl to call your own.
I really enjoyed shooting this mom and her two daughters today - they were easy to work with and even though the sisters say they hate each other ;), you still can see the love between them!!

    New Arrival

There's nothing like a newborn baby.

I love them ... so tiny and fresh and new. Meet Baby Cameron. Such a good little guy ... but he visited the studio on a day he also had his first needles and so we did have to cut his session a little short. Poor thing was just having a great day ... we still managed to get some great photos of the new little man.
